Australian Maths Competition Entry (AMC)

AMC Maths Competition

School-based maths competitions don’t get much bigger than this—with more than 15 million entries since 1978 and students in more than 30 countries attempting the same problems each year.

The AMC is an engaging 30-problem competition that demonstrates the importance and relevance of mathematics in students’ everyday lives.

Australia’s leading educators and academics, with a deep understanding of our national curriculum standards, actively design the unique AMC problems each year.

Children in Y4-6 will have the option to enter into this Maths Competition at a cost of $7. These can be paid for online through KINDO on our school website.

The test will be sat on Thursday 5th August. It does not directly reflect the NZ Curriculum but it allows the children to put their problem solving abilities to use in a competitive format. If you want to do some preparation, use this link

The cost for the test is $7.00 and this can be paid via Kindo on our school website www.ponsprim.school.nz (blue school payment button on the right hand side of the homepage) or at the school office.

Payment for these tests must be made by 7 July 2021 for registration to be completed.
